I can't deny that he's very smart. However, it's a shame that a man of such talent only pays attention to the truth itself and not to the people around him. A capable person who keeps a low profile for too long is often perceived as someone with a mysterious identity and ulterior purposes. Alhaitham himself is a powerful rebuttal to all these cliché views: He is a brilliant man, but he is only an ordinary employee of the Akademiya, with a stable job and a cushy house in Sumeru, leading a carefree and comfortable life.

Sometimes, people find it next to impossible to catch the current scribe in his office. Little do they know about the scribe, other than his name, "Alhaitham," and that he is supposed to be present during work hours. The fact is, no one knows his whereabouts, and all they can do is leave documents and files on his desk.

Alhaitham couldn't be more satisfied with how things are. The man might be at home or in the library, but he'll never appear where people wish him to be.

Having an entirely unpredictable schedule affords undisturbed freedom.

affection/intimacy Laughs hysterically. Good luck! You're gonna need it. Alhaitham would vastly prefer people continue to think he's an asshole, so they'll leave him alone. Getting to the point of affection, emotionally and/or physically, is going to be a strenuous task. (It might also require a verbal slap fight or two.) My shipping preferences are listed below.

physical violence :( no he is just a feeble scholar; joking aside, Alhaitham is a capable fighter in his own right, and can conjure lasers made of planet/wood elemental energy, as well as a second sword for temporary dual wielding. I'm not terribly interested in ooc power level discourse, and am not the greatest at writing combat scenes, so if you do want to physically fight Alhaitham, let me know oocly and we can discuss logistics.

injury/death Injury is fine, death less so.

mental You can use telepathy and other mind reading tricks on him! He's got no protections against it, and won't be happy about it, but let me know if that's the direction we're headed and I'll be sure to adjust tags accordingly.
